| It wasn't until much later in my life that I realized that I had a strong artistic sense. After an ordinary childhood I did a 19 year stint as a dental student/dentist and 8 years as a boat builder/world-cruising sailor. Unaware at the time, I was intrigued and deeply influenced by the marvelous contours of the teeth I studied and later of the boats I built and lived with. These influences began to blossom into furniture quite spontaneously in 1995 while still living aboard with little more than a jig saw for tools and they continue blossoming evermore strongly to this day. |
